Claymore CrossFit’s Next 6-Week Nutrition Challenge Starts May 19th!

If you’ve been training hard but feel like you’re not quite getting the results you deserve — it might be time to take a closer look at your nutrition.

Our next 6-Week Nutrition Challenge kicks off on Monday, May 19th, and it’s designed to help you take control of your eating habits, improve your energy, and get leaner and stronger — without extreme diets or calorie-counting.  

Just ask Pam, who joined the last challenge in January with a bit of hesitation — and ended up finishing in second place overall!

 💬 Pam’s Experience in Her Own Words:

 “I reluctantly joined the nutrition challenge in January. I’ve never been interested in ‘going on a diet’ but recognised I needed to change something to make the gains I wanted in the gym.  

 I read all the information each week — it was drip-fed in a way I really appreciated. I kept waiting for the day where we were told to count calories and cut things out. That day never came.  

The message was all about what you can *add* to your diet, and it really worked for me. I hadn’t realised how sluggish I was from the way I had been eating — I had been bloated and experienced indigestion a lot.  

Eating more protein and vegetables meant I was full and wasn’t looking for snacks, but it also meant I was fuelling my body with what it needed. I was shocked to see how well it had worked for me — I lost fat while increasing muscle.   

I’ve found it so easy to stick to that I’ve just carried on. Why would I want to go back to feeling rubbish?”

We’re thrilled to announce the return of our much-loved in-house competition — Double Trouble Reloaded — happening on Sunday, 25th May, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Claymore CrossFit.

 

This will be the third edition of Double Trouble, and we’re making it even more inclusive, exciting, and community-focused than ever before. This time around, we’re inviting mixed pairs made up of one RX athlete and one Scaled athlete, giving everyone at Claymore a chance to compete in a fun, supportive, and challenging environment — no matter their level.

 

💪 Who Can Participate?

 

This competition is exclusively for Claymore CrossFit members. Whether you’re relatively new to CrossFit or a long-time athlete, this event is all about testing your fitness, building camaraderie, and celebrating progress — together.

 

🏋️ Movement Standards

 

We’ve outlined clear standards for each division to help you choose the right role in your team:

 

Scaled:

– Knee Raises  

– Jumping Pull-Ups  

– Jumping Chest-to-Bar  

– Thruster 30kg/20kg  

 

RX:

– Toes-to-Bar  

– Pull-Ups  

– 1 Chest-to-Bar  

– Handstand Push-Ups with an AbMat

– Thruster 40kg/25kg

The entry fee is £40 per team (£20 per athlete). Your registration includes:
