Lift OFF In-house competition

This fall we bring you the first edition of the Lift OFF internal individual competition.

You will be competing in your bodyweight category (7kg increments) and will have to face 6 lifts in 2 stages with 2 famous benchmarks of CrossFit Total I and CrossFit Total II. This competition is open to all Claymore members and is a great way to find your maximal strength potential. A competition setting is the best way to push yourself beyond your limits and what is the best environment to do it within the walls of your box surrounded by your coaches and your friends.

CrossFit Total I is the sum of the best of three attempts at the back squat, the shoulder press, and the deadlift. CrossFit Total II is the sum of best of three attempts at the overhead squat, bench press and clean. You will attempt each lift 3 times just like in a traditional weightlifting competition and the weight must increase after each successful attempt at each movement. The weight may not be decreased after the first attempt but you can redo it. A failed rep counts as an attempt. You’ll be allowed to take the back squat, shoulder press and bench press from the weight rack. There will be a bonus lift if you feel like you need it. 

Join us on Saturday the 25th of November for the Lift OFF from 8:30 to 3pm. We will start with a weigh in for everyone and will run the event in waves. One wave will be in the morning to get everyone through CrossFit Total I and one in the afternoon for CrossFit Total II. The winners will be announced at the Christmas party on the 2nd of December on the weekend after. 

We are excited to partner up with Graham’s Protein for this event so there will be prizes for winners and for the best spirit of the competition.
